Birds / Wildlife / Insects / Landscape/ Other

On this page of my blog I will use the space to develop ideas and critically review any work undertaken outside of the course units. Its also a way for me to digest my work and look at it in closer detail.

Some of these images were taken a while ago and I have revisited them to re edit or just try to understand what I am drawn to. The more I process images the more I feel drawn to monochrome edits, even for wildlife shots.

A Robin taken a while ago at a local nature reserve, I like the composition and the mono edit, I am drawn to a moody style of imagery and that is one thing I notice continually in my work.

This image was taken on my iPhone 11 on a walk with family, I quite like the composition. I still don’t particularly taking images with a phone, I am not sure I like the quality and the feel of it. That doesn’t take away from its convenience. I processed the image in photoshop on my iPad, and added some fade and grain to add to the character of the tree.
